03 The origin
For twenty years, being found meant appearing in a list of links, and a whole industry — SEO — grew around climbing that list. Then search stopped returning lists. When a patient asks ChatGPT for a paediatric dentist in Noida, or a founder asks Perplexity which CA firm understands startups, what comes back is a sentence with two or three names already in it. The shortlist now arrives pre-built, assembled by a machine from whatever public evidence it could find and trust.
Watching that shift, we kept seeing the same injustice: good Indian businesses — often the best in their market — losing the introduction to competitors who were simply better documented. Not better at the work. Better described, more consistently, in more places machines read. The clinic with fifteen years of outcomes lost to the one with a corrected directory profile and four published guides. Quality was not the deciding variable; explainability was.
The market that appeared around this problem split into two camps, and we did not want to join either. For regulated professions, the regulator's rules govern over our preferences, always.
If a client asks us to publish something we can't verify, we decline in writing and record it.
We never present a "visibility score". We don't sell one, and implying one exists would misrepresent how these platforms work.
If a deliverable can't be clicked from your portal, it doesn't count toward your plan.
